A Historian has History

Countrymen! Lend me your ears
Unlike what Antony opined, but we came
To praise Pankrust, not to bury him
For he is not only an honorable man,
But a great historian,
Historicity of a great mind,
That no grave could get in hold;
And he is rather in our heart engraved!
Let us praise this man who became his
own career
Who used to be history on the making, and
today
History itself, with a distilled crystal moral
Leaving in us a lofty marble so monumental.
As a genius historian he knew, to write is
to rewrite
And all history writ is wisdom and wit
Yet to be rethought
Until distillation perfect.
It is in this world so rare
to find men who became their own career;
But Richard succeeded!
He became history upon which he cemented
His own cemetery!
He became engraved in us
Rather than be in gravity
Became a reality of coliseum history!
And countrymen! Lend me your ears
We came, not to bury this man but to
praise him
For he is not only an honorable man
But rather a great historian and a vibrant
mind
That no grave can hold, and
That in us he lives engraved.
They say history repeats itself
But for all we know, Pankrust repeats
Yet more as a celebrity, historicity
And an ever glittering dignity!
His ethiopianess still unmatched.
We envy this genius, his benevolence,
A historian of his own first class,
Sometimes, more Ethiopian than
Ethiopians!
Such a great man that we miss
May his soul rest in peace!!
